| When I attempt to start up Photoshop CS3 (part of the Adobe Master Collection) the program begins to initialize but when it gets to "building TWAIN menu items" I get an error message saying that Adobe Photoshop Cs3 has encountered a problem and needs to close. The rest of the Adobe Master Collection works fine. I am also having a problem with my new Printer not being able to open the program which allows it to scan a document and send it to the printer. I am guessing there is some issue with TWAIN but I really have no ideas. Any insight you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

To find out if the TWAIN driver of your printer is creating the problem, you may rename the DS for a test.
go to <windows>\twain_32\yourprinterstwainname
and rename
yourprinterstwainname.ds to
yourprinterstwainname.ds.test
Then start Photoshop again. If the problem does not occur anymore you have isolated the root course. If it still exists the TWAIN driver of the printer is not the problem.
Best regards,
